Description
EcoBird 14.5 is an oil-based Methyl Anthranilate (MA) bird repellent for use on commercial horticultural and agricultural crops to limit damage caused by birds on ripening crops.
How It Works:
Methyl Anthranilate (MA) MA has a pleasant grape aroma to humans. When tasted or inhaled by birds, however, MA nano-particles irritate the bird receptors associated with taste and smell. While not harmful, the MA causes enough of an unpleasant reaction to make birds want to leave the area. It only takes a small amount of MA to provoke a reaction in birds.
EcoBird 14.5® Bird Repellent, with a Methyl Anthranilate (MA) concentration level of 14.5%, can be utilised for Horticultural and agricultural use in crops such as berries, grapes, apples, stone fruits, cereal grains, sunflowers and other non-agricultural uses. These include turf applications, hydro-seeding, food stuffs, garbage, waste and trash, and spot repelling.
EcoBird 14.5® must be eaten by the birds before they get the repellent effect and learn to avoid treated areas.
Application:
Application can be made through spray wands, sprinkling systems, pump sprayers or aerial sprayers.
Apply spray mixture so that crop receives thorough coverage. Repeat treatment if significant bird damage begins to occur. Apply at 7 – 10 day intervals. For protection of seedlings, applications at 5 day intervals may be required.
