Agrecovery update

Date: 17-06-2024

Great news! Key Industries have voluntarily joined the Agrecovery Product Stewardship Scheme for Woven PP bags. The scheme also includes LDPE bags but none of these are used by Key Industries for our products.

Agrecovery's Small Bags Product Stewardship Scheme is a sustainable solution for recycling your Delicia Sluggoff 8kg, Pindone Rabbit Rabbit Pellets 25kg and Pindone Pellets Possums & Rats 25kg bags (25kg and under in size). Eligible bags are FREE to recycle!

Bags must be made of either LDPE plastic (number 4) or Woven PP plastic (number 5) and meet Agrecovery’s eligibility criteria to be accepted.  Note: Key Industries bags are not LDPE.

ORDER YOUR LINERS NOW

Your LDPE or Woven PP bags must be stored in an approved Agrecovery liner in order to be accepted for recycling as part of the scheme. There is a green liner for LDPE bags and a purple liner for Woven PP bags. Bags should be placed in their corresponding liner and MUST NOT be mixed. Order your liners via the Agrecovery website here or by calling Agrecovery on 0800 247 326.

COLLECTION SITES

Once your liners are full, these can be dropped off for recycling. Agrecovery's small bag collection site network has expanded to over 200 fixed sites across New Zealand - making it even easier for you to recycle your small plastic bags. Head to the Agrecovery website here to find your closest collection site.

PREP YOUR PLASTIC!

  • Bags must be 25kg or under in size.
  • Bags must be from participating brands only.
  • LDPE plastic has the recycling code 4.

  • Bags that have been stored for long periods, are sun damaged and/or disintegrating cannot be recycled.
