Key Industries provide PerK Supa, a well established foliar fertiliser widely used on a number of vegetable and tree crops as a foliar spray and as a soil applied drench.
Highly systemic foliar fertilisers such as Perk Supa, though not a substitute for ground based fertilisers, are readily taken up by the plant and moved systemically throughout. Potassium (K) assists in plant functions including strengthening the cell walls making the plant more resistant to disease attack, starch formation and translocation of sugars. Potassium phosphite is an elicitor which builds the plant’s immunity to disease and eventually converts to phosphate which feeds the plant.
Phosphorus assists in cell division, flowering and fruiting, including seed formation, root development and resistance to certain diseases.
Products such as Supa Humus 26 can be applied throughout fertigation to increase the humus content in low CEC sandy or stony soils. This assists with the retention of cations such as potassium and magnesium which can lead to dramatic results in crops like wine grapes.
Supa Humus 26 is high in humic acid and will improve soil friability and pH buffering capacity, provide organic and mineral substances essential for healthy plant growth, and assist with the retention of water soluble fertilisers in soil.
